FAQ'S + Terms & Conditions


Please read the most Frequently Asked Questions + relevant information about the retreat before you book your spot for Creative Rehab Bali 2023, as well as the Terms & Cancellation Policy below.

By signing up for Creative Rehab Bali 2023 you agree to these Terms and Conditions and you confirm you have read and accepted them.

I. Frequently Asked Questions + Travel Info

WHAT ARE THE VISA REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER BALI?

Tourists from over 80 countries are granted a Visa on Arrival upon entry, which allows you a stay of up to 30 days in Bali, extendable to 60 days. The cost of the Visa on Arrival is approximately $35 USD (500.000 Indonesian Rupiahs) and you can get it at the airport upon arrival, before going through customs.

You will need to provide your passport (valid for at least 6 more months from the date you arrive) as well as your return ticket. Any additional entry forms will be provided or can be downloaded.

You can also get the visa online, at least 48 hours before traveling. You may purchase it through the official government website HERE.

DO I NEED THE COVID VACCINE TO TRAVEL TO BALI? DO I NEED ANY OTHER VACCINES?

As of January 12, 2023 - international travelers must provide proof of full COVID vaccination or a certificate of medical exemption, in order to enter Bali. Additional PCR tests or COVID insurance are no longer required.

The vaccination or exemption certificate is usually required by the airlines before boarding, so we don't recommend traveling without it, as you may be denied entry.

For the retreat itself we do not require any COVID vaccine proof or any other certificate in order to attend.

There are no other special vaccine requirements or recommendations for entry other than the basic COVID-related requirements.

Should you wish to get additional vaccines for your personal safety or a specific health condition / sensitivity, you may do so, but please know it is NOT necessary or required just for Bali, anymore than what you would need it in your country / habitat.

Since the COVID situation worldwide is constantly being updated, we recommend you check the general BALI TOURISM INFORMATION WEBSITE regularly, where you can see the latest updated requirements regarding the COVID vaccine. Links to official government updates are also provided on THIS WEBSITE.

WHAT DAY SHOULD I BOOK MY ARRIVAL TO BALI / DEPARTURE FOR? WHICH AIRPORT?

AIRPORT + TRANSPORTATION DETAILS

Your retreat package includes transportation to and from Nigurah Rai International Airport - also referred to as Denpasar International Airport - the only International Airport in Bali.

In addition to the Airport Transfer service, we also provide transportation to Zen Resort from Ubud, one of the most visited cities in Bali. If you plan to visit Ubud before or after the retreat (which we highly recommend) you can combine both transportation options to suit your travel plans. 

The retreat location - Zen Resort Bali - is a 3-hour drive north of Denpasar, the capital of Bali.

You may use our transportation service from the Denpasar Airport or Ubud - or you may arrive to Zen Resort independently.

To make use of our airport transfer service included in your retreat fee, please book your flight to arrive during the morning of May 15 — preferably no later than 12:00 pm. Keep in mind that it takes a while to get through customs and baggage claim.

We'll pick you up even if you arrive later, but if you arrive late you may miss out on the opening dinner, starting at 7:30 p.m.

If your flight schedule is tight and you can't get a good itinerary for May 15, we recommend you plan to arrive a day earlier (or any number of days you may have available), spend the night of May 14 at a nearby hotel and meet our retreat drivers on the morning of May 15 at the Denpasar Airport or in Ubud.

We can recommend several great options for hotels in Denpasar, should you need it. This is the best option to avoid any flight delays, as well as to decompress and get used to the different time zone. Once you book your spot, we will provide you with additional travel recommendations.

Airport pickup spots, hours and additional details will be provided as the date nears.

RETREAT START + FINISH HOURS

The retreat officially begins with a welcome dinner on Monday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m.

If you choose to arrive to Zen Resort on your own, please try to be there in the early afternoon and at least 2 hours before dinner, so you have time to settle in.

The retreat ends on Monday, May 22, with a final lunch. We are reserving our last morning together for hugs, hang-outs, goodbyes and photos. You may also use this last morning for packing, relaxation or wellness treatments.

If possible, try to schedule your departure trip for the afternoon or evening of May 22. If due to your travel arrangements, you need to leave earlier during the morning, rest assured you will not be missing any important activities.

You may also book additional nights at Zen Resort Bali after the retreat, pending availability or spend some extra time in Bali after the retreat.

We will provide you with additional suggestions and recommendations on visiting Bali (including recommended hotels near the airport and / or Ubud) after you book your spot.

DO I NEED HEALTH AND / OR TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Health or travel insurance are not required to enter Bali or attend the retreat.

However and more so in the post-pandemic new "normal" we recommend that you consider taking out adequate travel and medical insurance, if possible.

We also recommend International Trip & Cancellation Insurance, including flight changes or cancellation, that covers you from all sides, just in case.

IF I BOOK A ROOM TYPE NOW, CAN I CHANGE TO ANOTHER ROOM TYPE / OCCUPANCY LATER?

Yes, as long as there is availability. The initial payment necessary to save your spot is the same for all villa types. If you pay in full at the time of signup, you may also upgrade later and pay the difference, pending availability.

If you want to sign up ASAP, but you are still not sure which villa type or occupancy (single/double) is best for you, and you need more time to decide, just select the one that applies best at the moment, and you can decide or change in the coming days or weeks.

Likewise, if you are coming with a friend, partner or relative, email us after you both sign up, so we can place you in the same villa. Only 2 people per villa.

I SUFFER FROM SEVERE TRAUMA, MENTAL / PHYSICAL ILLNESS, INJURY AND/OR LIMITED MOBILITY. CAN I STILL JOIN?

If you are suffering from severe trauma, advanced PTSD, or an impairing mental or physical condition that requires behavior-altering medication or specialized help or that limits your mobility and/or ability to perform your daily functions and/or you may require assistance to move, participate in group activities, socialize and fully benefit from the event offerings, please know that we are not equipped or trained to help you through this retreat.

If you have any concern regarding your ability to participate due to a mental or physical condition, we recommend you consult with your physician and get the proper medical advice.

When you sign up, we will ask you to specify any health condition you may be suffering from and / or medication you may be on. If you have any additional questions on this matter, email us: support@creativerehab.co

I IDENTIFY AS TRANS OR NON-BINARY. ANYTHING I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

The teachings and activities at the retreat are not particularly aimed at a specific gender. They apply to all human experience and they will benefit any individual, regardless of identifying as male or female or other.

We will do our best to adapt to your chosen gender identity, just like other unique characteristics that make you YOU. Likewise, we will treat you with the kindness and respect you deserve, just like we ask and expect of every individual attending our retreat - including yourself.

Aside from respecting your personal ideology or choices, as organizers and staff, we do believe in the reality of biological genders and we acknowledge and respect the fundamental physical and biological differences between men and women. Likewise, retreat teachers and facilitators will teach from their own binary + biological life experience and perspective.

PRONOUNS: We will not require anyone to state their pronouns or add prefixes to their gender unless their chosen pronouns or gender identity differ at all from their biological or socially assumed gender and must be specified. We will also not require participants to refer to another participant by anything other than their name / nickname and/or the worldwide recognized grammar usage of pronouns: i.e. he, she, him, her, his, hers, they, them or theirs.

We understand that in the last few years there has been increased controversy, division, sensitivity and ideological / political activism around this subject and we think this creates unnecessary drama and conflict that we want to avoid for the duration and purpose of this event.

If you believe that this position may not be adequate to your needs or that our life + teaching experience may interfere with the quality of your learning experience, this retreat may not be the best fit for you at this time.

I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE. CAN I DISCUSS MY POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS, COVID / VACCINE, RACE OR GENDER IDEOLOGY VIEWS?

As mentioned in the previous point, for the duration of the retreat, we want to avoid any unnecessary drama, division and conflict, arising from socially charged and controversial subjects, which is not aligned with the purpose of this event and might interfere with the safe space, group energy, kindness, support and empathy that our participants require to feel safe and experience a deep and real personal transformation.

We are all adults and we will not police your private conversations, however, we ask you to refrain from any divisive topic that might create an imbalance in your own energy, mood and receptiveness, as well as the group energy we co-create together.

After the retreat is over, you are free to get together with other participants and discuss anything you'd like and/or start a social revolution. The world needs change indeed, but during this event we will focus on transforming, loving and creating ONESELF.

Once you sign up, we will email you more in-depth information about the trip as well as other details to keep in mind about Bali, things to bring, etc - so you can prepare adequately for the trip.

II. TERMS + CANCELLATION POLICY

By signing up for this adventure you agree to be in a creative partnership with us under the following Terms & Conditions:

1. COMMUNICATION

After signing up, you will receive an instant Booking Confirmation Email from Creative Rehab confirming your purchase. If you do not receive an instant purchase confirmation, please check your junk or promotional folder before you contact us. Sometimes our emails may skip your inbox and land in other folders. To make sure you receive our communication, please add support@creativerehab.co to your contact list. 

Within 24-48 hours of signing up, you will receive an official Welcome Email containing more in depth information and details about the trip, as well as tips on visiting Bali, so you can start making your travel arrangements.

Please note the official in-depth Welcome Email is sent manually, to every individual, per reviewing your registration + application, so be patient and allow us up to 48 hours for a proper, detailed replied, while we make sure that we cover everything you may need.

Most of our participant applications are a perfect fit, so your spot will be saved instantly, as soon as you sign up

If you don’t receive the WELCOME EMAIL within 48 hours after signing up, or if you think you may have signed up with the wrong email address, please contact us at support@creativerehab.co and we will resend it.

In the rare case that, upon reviewing your application, we determine that we are not able or trained to provide you with the special care + service you may need or require, you will receive a full refund of your booking.

After signing up for this adventure and through the months leading up to it, you assume full responsibility for communicating with us regarding any doubt or questions you may have about the event, as well as to notify us - within the deadlines that apply - about any change in your circumstances that may prevent you from attending the event.

2. RATES + PAYMENTS 

All payments must be made through the links or sublinks provided on our official registration websites: creativerehab.co/bali / selfcreation.co/bali or via email support@creativerehab.co, when / if it applies, within the specified deadlines and at the rates available at the time of payment.

You can choose to book your spot with a Pay-in-Full option (extra discount available) or with a Split Payment option.

PAY IN FULL OPTION

Due in full at the time of signup. The total amount you will pay differs based on the villa type as well as room occupancy you select. The discount amount applicable to this option will vary based on the time you sign up. Please see all 3 discount phases below.

SPLIT PAYMENT OPTION

INITIAL PAYMENT >> Due at the time of signup. The amount of the initial payment is the same for all room types, and it will increase twice: once after the opening days as well as after the early bird period. We cannot save your spot without making the initial payment.

REMAINING BALANCE >> Due 1 month prior to the retreat. Your remaining balance will vary depending on the villa + occupation option you select. The payment link for the remaining balance will be included in your Welcome Email and you may pay it at any point before or by April 15.

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE

All discounts will be pre-applied to the totals during within the dates listed below.

  • OPENING DISCOUNT + EXTRA BONUSES: $400 OFF + Free Course + 1:1 Coaching Session (January 13 - 16)
  • OPENING DISCOUNT (NO BONUSES): $400 OFF for split payment // $600 OFF for pay-in-full option. (January 17 - 27)
  • EARLY BIRD RATE: $200 OFF for split payment option // $300 OFF for pay-in-full option (January 28 - February 9)
  • REGULAR RATE: FULL PRICE for split payment option // $150 OFF for pay-in-full option (February 10 - May 1)

3. CANCELLATION POLICY 

All payments are final and *non-refundable. *SEE ONLY REFUND EXCEPTION BELOW

3.1. IN CASE OF INDIVIDUAL / PARTICIPANT CANCELLATION >> IF YOU CANCEL:

FOR INITIAL PAYMENTS OR PAY-IN-FULL OPTION - WHEN CANCELLING AT LEAST ONE MONTH PRIOR:

If any circumstances prevent you from attending the event and you cancel your participation at least ONE MONTH PRIOR, you can request the initial payment to be transferred towards an online course of your choosing - including current + new & upcoming 2023 courses - until the end of 2023.

You may also transfer the amount of the initial payment towards an upcoming retreat or LIVE workshop, taking place within 1 year after cancellation.

FOR REMAINING BALANCE OR PAY-IN-FULL OPTION - WHEN CANCELLING LESS THAN ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THE RETEAT

The second payment - remaining balance - due 1 month prior to the retreat is non-transferable and non-refundable under any circumstances. The same applies if for pay-in-full bookings made less than 1 month before the retreat.

3.2. IN CASE OF EVENT CANCELLATION >> IF WE CANCEL:

DUE TO PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES: In the rare case of event cancellation at any point prior to the retreat done by us or on our behalf - due to extraordinary or life-altering personal circumstances that could interfere with our program delivery, you will receive a full refund* of the amount you paid to date or you will be given the option to put the payment towards another service, event, online course or upcoming retreat.

DUE TO NATURAL/POLITICAL DISASTERS: In the very unlikely possibility that an unforeseen natural or political disaster out of our control should occur - such as the unexpected 2020 COVID pandemic and strict lockdowns - which may affect international travel, or retreat location or the wellbeing of the participants / staff, therefore forcing us to unexpectedly cancel or postpone the event no refunds can or will be issued.

In this case, you may still apply the initial payment towards a different LIVE event or the same retreat - in case of postponement. Please note that even in extreme unforeseen circumstances (such as the recent pandemic lockdowns) we do our best to postpone the event rather than cancel it. We've been hosting this type of events for almost a decade and we have only experienced this once, with the recent lockdowns, so it is very unlikely it should occur again and not the norm.

In this case, you may also apply it to any other online course currently available or new/upcoming for up to 1 year after the event cancellation.

Please note that the location of the retreat is one of the safest in Bali and it is not currently at risk for any natural disasters - such as volcano eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis or the like.

3. 3. TRAVEL EXPENSES - IN CASE OF CANCELLATION:

The retreat package does not cover your flights or other travel expenses to / from / in Bali -- aside from the transportation to Zen Resort (THE LOCATION) from Denpasar International Airport and / or Ubud on the first and last day of the retreat. 

In the rare case of event cancellation due to ANY reason, we do not offer any refunds or compensation for travel arrangements not included in your retreat package (i.e., your flight to and from Bali). 

We recommend in advance that you book your flight with an option to change or cancel, just to be covered, in case of any rare life emergency, on both ends. 

4. PARTICIPATION TRANSFER

You may, at any point after your purchase and up to ONE MONTH before the event, transfer your spot to a friend or family member, should you be unable to join us and you prefer that someone else takes your sport.

Please email support@creativerehab.co to request the change. Make sure you include your friend's full name, phone number and email address as well as cc them in the formal request, so the new participant can confirm the transfer and we can duly review and update their information. 

Your transfer agreement with the person you may transfer your spot to -- whether it is a resale or a gift -- is your responsibility and by agreeing to take your place in the retreat, your friend abides by the same Terms & Conditions stated on this site. 

5. PERSONAL SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY

Your actions, movement and personal safety on this trip are your own responsibility. 

By signing up for this event, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions and release Andrea Balt (Host), Creative Rehab (Business) and the Zen Resort Bali (Venue), as well as all other retreat leaders and or retreat staff involved in this event (individually as well as collectively) from any claims, responsibility, liability or damage incurred by you or another party.  

If you have any health conditions (mental or physical), limited mobility or injuries or you are on any medication that we need to be aware of, please contact us in advance, before you book your spot, so we can be aware and inform you accordingly.

6. CONFLICT RESOLUTION / SUSPENSION

We intend to hold a sacred, clear and safe space for creativity, truth and vulnerability to transform our lives. We reserve the right to suspend and revoke participation - partial or total, before or during the event - to any participant we feel may offset the balance of the group or create any kind of conflict. Likewise, we reserve the right to terminate attendance immediately and respectfully ask anyone to leave, should our group or personal space be compromised in any way.  

In the rare case of suspension, a total or partial refund will be considered and ultimately decided by the Creative Rehab team depending on the particulars of the situation.  

7. LIABILITY

By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you release Andrea Balt (Host), Creative Rehab / The Self-Creation School (Business / Website) and the Zen Resort Bali (Venue), as well as all other leaders and/or staff collaborating in this retreat, individually and collectively, from any claims, liability, cause of action, damages or costs for personal injury or property damage that fall under your responsibility and are unrelated to the service offered. 

8. COPYRIGHT + INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Creative Rehab is a registered trademark of Andrea Balt. The Creative Rehab tagline "Your Life Is Your Art" has been used by and attributed to Creative Rehab and Andrea Balt, since 2014. The materials and teachings shared with you during our retreats and online programs (including Creative Rehab Bali) are the intellectual property of Andrea Balt, as well as the respective workshop teachers and/or duly cited sources, and they are intended for your personal use and self-development only.

By signing up for Creative Rehab Bali and / or using or visiting our websites, you agree to not copy, appropriate, reproduce, publish or share any of the content taught or received at a Creative Rehab workshop or found on our website, for any unauthorized training, teaching, publication or commercial use, or in any way that could violate the trademark copyright or infringe the intellectual property of our teachers and contributors.
